Want to Share a Positive Message for and with Women in Prison?

Share

No one likes to feel alone. When I speak in prisons, I tell the women I meet how they have more support from the outside than they’re aware—from total strangers. I do this so they’ll feel less isolated.
I mention the 1000s of followers for The unPrison Project, the multitude of donors ( we need more, though, to continue this work) and good wishes I receive via email, facebook, and snail mail. Many of you have expressed interest in providing an encouraging quote or offering a positive message to incarcerated women which you’d like me to read as part of my presentations in prisons.
Can’t change the circumstances but we can reinforce a belief of self-confidence and contribute to “I matter.” So walk with me please.
If you’d like to participate, please leave your quote or comment in the reply section below. I will use either your first name or “anonymous,” as you instruct, when I share excerpts of these during my speaking engagements in various prisons across the country.
Here’s a chance to share your voice
with incarcerated women and girls I meet across the country with my prison tours. Please also consider contributing to the costs of these prison tours. Thank you.
